I wasn't know  this  idiom before,  so it sound was weirdly a little bit,  especially when should + have were followed by past verb  0_o .  
But after you nice explanation and watching the episode , I knew it well clearly.

Good job  Youstina , but kindly don't use "very" with such a storage adjective like exhausted.
Exhausted = extremely tired

I think it will be more normally if you used "after, by or from" in stand of "of"  , did you  agree?

وفعلا لما بحثت لقيت ان of استخدامها نادر مع exhausted   ولا ترجمتها جوجل طلعت = إسْتُنْفِدْتُ

But , if "so" equals "very" , we wouldn't use it with such a storage adjective like exhausted.

Welcome again,  I think you wanna say " the girl is very exhausted " okay  okay  I got it.  But the point is we suppose not using VERY with a strange adjective like  EXHAUSTED.
